A Little About Your Teacher

Hello! My name is Jeannette Farrer. I am very excited to be your Kindergarten teacher this year! This is my third year teaching Kindergarten at Harmony School of Innovation. We are going to have a lot of fun learning and growing together. I have a lot of exciting new things planned for this year. I can’t wait to see where the year takes us!

A Little More About Me:

I was born in Naperville, Illinois and lived there until I was ten when my family moved down to Flower Mound, Texas. I have an older brother and sister. My brother is married and they have a four year old son and a 2 month old son. I adore both of my precious nephews and spoil them every chance I get! This past April, I was honored to be the MOH in my sister’s wedding. I love that my family keeps growing!

I attended McMurry University in Abilene, Texas where I majored in Early Childhood Education and minored in Curriculum Instruction. I have my teaching Generalist certification for Early Childhood-Fourth Grade. I also have my Supplemental certification for ESL. Through my experiences in Pre-Kindergarten, Fourth Grade, and now Kindergarten, I have found that I enjoy teaching Kindergarten the best. I absolutely love being in Kinder and enjoy creating life-long learners.

A Few of My Favorite Things:

Favorite Snacks: Reese’s, Pretzels, Wheat Thins

Favorite Drinks: Coffee and Tea

Favorite Restaurants: Chick-Fil-A, Genghis Grill, Chili's

Favorite Stores: Target, Amazon (online), TeachersPayTeachers.com (online)

Favorite Color: Green

Favorite Children's Authors: Mo Williams, Eric Carle, and Patricia Polacco

Favorite Activity Outside of School: Scuba Diving! I got my scuba certification in May of 2008. I have been fortunate to be able to experience diving in Grand Cayman, Bahamas, Florida, and Cozumel. On my most recent trip to Cozumel this summer, I finally got to see some octopus during my first night dive!
