Homework will start the first week in September. Please make sure your child completes their assignment every Monday-Thursday. There is a homework calendar explaining each night’s task. Some assignments are to be written, and some are to be completed orally by your child. All written activities have a spot in the homework packet where he/she can complete the assignment. Your child will need pencils, crayons, paper, scissors, glue, and story books to read with your child.
The homework packets need to stay inside of their take-home folders. Please DO NOT remove the packet from this location. Keeping the packet together makes it easier for me to check each day. Completed homework will get a stamp, while incomplete homework will be highlighted in the calendar.
In addition to the homework sent home each month, there is also a book log to be completed. Please take the time to listen to your child read or read to your child nightly. The book log is at the end of the homework packet and is to be filled out each night.
Please plan to spend 15-20 minutes each working with your child on their homework. All homework should be completed nightly, and the folder returned the next day.
