Hello Parents,
I wanted to give you more information regarding the Star
Early Literacy assessment sent home on Monday. The test is assessing
students’ knowledge of letters/sounds, vocabulary, and comprehension. It
consists of 30 questions and is taken independently on the computer. Since this was the first time many students
took a test on the computer, please know that scores may not reflect your child’s
true ability level. We will take
this test throughout the year, and will use it along with our many assessments to help further the
education of your child.
