Star Early Literacy Assessment

Hello Parents,

I wanted to give you more information regarding the Star Early Literacy assessment sent home on Monday. The test is assessing students’ knowledge of letters/sounds, vocabulary, and comprehension. It consists of 30 questions and is taken independently on the computer. Since this was the first time many students took a test on the computer, please know that scores may not reflect your child’s true ability level.  We will take this test throughout the year, and will use it along with our many assessments to help further the education of your child.

 

 

Owen Spring Creek Farm Field Trip

Hello Parents!

We have a field trip to the Owen Spring Creek Farm on October 24^th!

Please send in the permission slip (both front and back completed) along with $8 by October 17^th in order for your student to attend.

We are also in need of chaperones! If you are able to spend the day with us at the pumpkin patch, that would be wonderful!

*We are only able to accept exact cash. Thank you for your understanding.

Welcome to Kindergarten!

I’m so excited to have your child in my class this school year! I look forward to getting to know him/her, to developing a relationship with all of you, and to having a wonderful time learning and growing together on our journey through kindergarten! 

This website will be your resource and guide through the school year. I will post important information about upcoming events, things that we have been learning and will be learning in class, opportunities for parent volunteers, and much more!
